Adding a reminder to your feed post is fairly similar to tagging a product, or another Instagram user.
Here’s how to do it:
Create a new Instagram feed post, as usual.
On the New Post page, select Add Reminder.
Include all relevant event information, like your Event Title and start time. Then, hit Done.
NOTE: Reminders must be set at least one hour in advance of the event’s start time, with a maximum countdown of three months. It will also be set in the timezone of the device you used to create the post, but your followers will see it in their local time!
When someone opts-in to receive a reminder for your event, they’ll get sent:
An activity feed notification 24 hours before the event
An activity feed and push notification 15 minutes before the event
An activity feed and push notification when the event is starting
At the moment, you can’t add reminder tags to posts that have already been published (we tried, to no avail).
It’s also unclear when the feature will be rolled out across all markets, so stay tuned.
