The use of a wrong and inappropriate color combination can spoil the overall impression of a website. It can even reduce the number of targeted customers for a company. It is not hard to hire a professional web design company and get a high standard website designed. Some web designers use the wrong color in the wrong places. This diverts the attention of online customers, making them less likely to place an order.

For instance, if a variety range of colors is used for headlines and sub-headlines, users may get irritated. A smart web designer uses dark blue or black for the main heading and light blue or gray for the subheading. In addition to that, black text on a light background is the best color combination to attain customer attention.

Social Media is important for marketing an organization of any size in today’s digital era. The question “Why should we use social media for our business” has quickly shifted to “How should we use social media for our business”. Whether your business is 24 hours old or 24 years old, creating a strong online presence is mission-critical to your success. To accomplish that, you first need a solid strategy for managing your social media marketing. Here’s how it’s done:

1. Set your Social Media Objectives & Goals

What exactly should you be aiming for? Do you want brand awareness for your small business? Customer engagement or increased downloads for a mobile app? Or, do you need better sales conversions for an online store? There are different strategies for all these goals, so decide what you want from your audience. If you want brand awareness, then focus on attracting more and more unique visitors to your website. If you aim for customer engagement, then your focus should be getting more comments & likes on your social media posts. Keep your goals clear in your mind before planning your strategy.

Typical online goals for businesses and organization to grow include:

  1. Positive brand awareness
  2. Customer engagement and loyalty
  3. Lead generation
  4. Generate additional revenue
  5. Signups or newsletter subscribers
  6. Build a community
  7. More traffic to your website
  8. Increase press mentions

2. Audit your current Social Presence

Before you start with your plan, figure out where your social presence stands currently:

  1. Determine which social media channels your organization is currently using
  2. Decide these are the best social media channels to meet your business goals. Not all social media platforms work for all kind of businesses
  3. Tally your current follower count for each active platform
  4. Compare your profile with your competitors’ profile, and see what areas you could improve

3. Find your Ideal Customer

Really be specific with this part. If the audience you’re targeting doesn’t equate to potential customers, then there’s no point of all investing time and energy into planning. Even the best business marketing strategies fail miserably if they target the wrong audience. Carefully pick out your customer from the crowd, and speak their language to make your strategies work and ultimately achieve your goals.

4. Keep an eye on your Competitors

Your competitors can tell you a lot about what strategies to pick. After all, they’re targeting the same customers you are! Much can be learned from their successes and mistakes, to better guide you while planning your own strategies. Pick some of your top competitors, stalk their social media pages, and take note on which posts get more engagement.

5. Plan Your Content Carefully to Delight Your Audience

Always focus on providing attractive and engaging content, in order to keep your audience captivated and engaged. If the social media content you post isn’t worth reading, clicking, or liking, you may even lose your current followers. No business wants that! Deliver fresh, interesting content consistently and regularly to get more visibility from new visitors and retain existing followers.

Content types that you can share include:

  1. Blog posts and product tips
  2. Videos
  3. Product images and funny memes
  4. Infographics
  5. Company news and press releases
  6. Customer testimonials
  7. E-books

Magento is among the most popular e-commerce platforms of the world. Developers prefer Magento over other platforms because it provides them an option to customize settings according to their needs and requirements. Large businesses prefer Magento because it is powerful and they have got a big spending budget to pay annual fees for Premium Enterprise subscription. Magento is an ideal choice for global brands as it provides all the necessary features to benefit global shopping carts. Adding products to a Magento store is not a very difficult task. An easy method given below can help the users who want to add products to their shopping cart.

Step 1

Firstly, open the page of your website that contains products and then return to Quick-start wizard. Now make a click on "Create New Products" from the Products menu. You will be given a detailed list of information about how you can manage all the products on Magento. After reading this information, click on Continue.

Step 2

Select the product type. Now you will be asked if you wish to use the Complex Product Types. It will also ask you for an Attribute Set. For now, select default for the Attribute Set.

The option for Complex Product Types lets you list group products, gift cards, configurable products and bundled products. For now, we will only make an addition of a simple product, so let this option remain de-selected.

Now make a click on Continue.

Step 3

Now you will be asked to fill in all the product details. Such details include the name of product, product's description, delivery details, SKU and weight. Fill in all these details.

For the description of product, turn on and use a WYSIWYG Editor (What You See Is What You Get). Turning on this editor will enable the word processing options like paragraph formatting, italic and bold text. Alternately, you can also write directly in the description box with html text.

Options for special products include Visibility and Status. Visibility allows the user to specify whether any specific product can be seen in catalog, search bar or in both. Status allows the user to select wherever or not the specific product is enabled in the store.

When you are done, make a click on Save and then Continue Edit.

Step 4

Add images and prices. To add images for products, click Images from menu in the left side. Select Browse files in order to add a desired picture from your computer.

After selecting the image, click Upload File.

Now you can select thumbnail, base image and small image for the uploaded image.

Click Save and then Continue Edit.

For adding price to the product, click Prices from the menu on left hand side. Complete all the required fields and then click Save.

Step 5

Now add Meta Information. Click Meta Information from the menu given on left hand side. Select the description and title for search engines.

Customizing WordPress RSS Feed is very easy if you know how HTML works, but most WordPress Users do not know how to change codes especially in modifying the default RSS feed Widget. Majority of Blog Owners who are using this default available widget are syndicating Contents from the other source URL to there Sidebar in the form of News Flash or Updates from the Original Site. The main problem regarding the default WordPress widget, when you click the feed, you are redirected to the feed URL instead of having an option to open the link to a new window and having the option to vary the link into a "no follow" attribute.

To Fix these Problem without knowing how to program. Check the Better RSS Widget Plug-in.

Download their Developers Plugin at this Page http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/better-rss-widget/ .

Unlike the Default RSS Feed Sidebar, the Better WordPress RSS Sidebar Plug-in has the functionality of adding "no follow" to outbound links and the ability to open target links to a new window that gives you the benefit of total control over your links, but not only that, you may choose where to display the Feed and Cache Setting is not a Problem.

There are plug ins that are more flexible than this one but I still prefer the simplicity of this tool.

There's a simple way to customize WordPress RSS Sidebar Display using the "Better RSS Feed Widget" Free WordPress plug-in. I hope this simple article solves your problem.

Many website development practitioners argue that web design is a must for a business. But not just any old website will do. Ten years ago any kind of web presence was better than no website at all because if your competitors had one and you didn’t then you were at a competitive disadvantage. However, nowadays what counts is a working website – a web presence that works for your business. The standards of web design have risen and so have the average business decision maker’s expectations of what their web developer will produce for them.

There is very little point in just settling for an average online presence. Take the city of Sheffield as an example of what the local businesses there have come to expect from their websites. They need:

  • good aesthetics
  • a user friendly design
  • quick loading
  • no broken links
  • is clear and concise
  • ranks well in the major search engines
  • is scalable as their business grow
  • links to social media networking sites
  • a company blog
  • a logo that appeals to their target market, and most of all;
  • a website that will work for their business and improve it’s profitability.

Why choose web design in Sheffield has an example. Well, the city is based in an area of South Yorkshire that demands value for money and, especially in a tough economic climate, the local businesses there are being very careful about how they use their working capital. Therefore, they are likely to spend their own time doing lots of research into what makes a website work and what is needed. They don’t just want a website anymore. Instead they want a website that does this, this, this and that. Additionally, they would rather use a credible, local web design company to provide them with that service because this decreases the perceived risk.

Social media is a very new aspect of our businesses that has taken over significant parts of not only our marketing plans but also our personal lives.

Major platforms battle for prominence and significance by adjusting their business models to provide better returns for their shareholders while intending to improve the user experience.

As these systems develop, how you use these platforms for your business must change as well.

Social Media ROI

While certain trends are consistent, subtitle variables at play can become game changers. Recent Facebook has announced adjustments to its news feed and if that matters to your social media marketing then you will need to account for that change.

For that platform brands and businesses will now have an even harder time connecting to users with no previous demonstrated connection to the company trying to reach them.

When Facebook originally started it was a free-for-all and at that point everyone marketing online pounced. But year after year it became harder and harder to reach any users organically through their feed.

Now even the paid reach will be more restricted making it even harder to drive traffic from posts to your business's page or website.

If you measure the ROI of your social media efforts with an emphasis just on the Facebook platform then you may be warned when you see the stats start to change.

So how do you measure the return on your investment in social media?

According to Buffer, most measure by analyzing engagement with lead generation being second place and a sale being third.

As we all know measuring a conversion can be very simple or very complex but for most small businesses, it's the former and amounts to 'did they buy from us?' Egypt 'did they contact us?

Moving forward the value of a lead may take precedence over engagement as platforms make it easier to qualify where the lead came from and how the user started in one place (social media) and wound up in another (your website).

Video Marketing

Another aspect that continues to attempt to move into a more prevalent spot is video marketing.

In 2016 and 2017 many predictions were made about video becoming more and more relevant to businesses. Many companies have started, and some closed, whose sole offerings were pre-made videos that could have been updated for a business or brand to use.

The market has not shown that businesses are warm to that and many small businesses simply shy away from the cost, effort, and risks associated with trying to produce professional quality video with a small budget.

It's not impossible to do but it can go poorly very easily. As a result, video marketing is still struggling to lure companies in. Although in Buffer's same analysis, the users they polled stated that they are interested in doing more video this year.

What Should Your Business Do?

If you're planning on adapting to trends, then two things honestly stand out. While there is no shortage of opinions, most self-appointed experts or gurus are guilty of self promoting while hiring their particular specialty will become more relevant.

Ask a video marketer and they'll tell you it's all video and YouTube. Ask a Facebook ads specialist and they'll tell you it's all about Facebook ads now.

The truth is the only two big stand outs that have shown they're providing better results are Instagram (and Instagram stories specifically) and LinkedIn ads. Instagram's user base has grown dramatically and LinkedIn will soon be offering video ads leading to increased relevancy for both.

You may have a budget already set for your social media spending, but remember those are never fixed. Adjust and try attributing more to different platforms to gauge how effective it is for your business.

While it may seem laborious it's really not that hard to take an afternoon to read up on any recent changes and adjust your spending accordingly.

If you find yourself too busy to bother or hung up by the complexity, it's good to reach out to social media experts.

They can work with your SEO consultant, or if you do not have one, they may have a recommendation in making your social media work for you to avoid just pumping out content for the sake of having it and hiring it will do something for you .

Make 2018 the year you really pay attention to your social media because more and more of your competitors are.

Getting ahead of them requires adapting to change rather than resisting. Once you do you'll see much better results from your online marketing.

If you are brand new to using social media for your business and are ready to start but not sure where or how then please sign up for our Social Media Membership Program. It's a cost effective and easy way to work with industry professionals while you study the ins and outs of social media, video, and online marketing.

Mobile phones are no longer only a communication device; they have emerged to be complete fun and entertainment device with inbuilt games, music, camera etc. Mobile game development is no longer a niche and restricted territory. Each day, mobile game developers are churning out ever interesting and interactive applications. Be it iPhone games or for other handsets, these entertainment apps have come a long way since the first game Snake made its debut in the 1997. With increase in the processing capabilities of mobile phone, mobile gaming has grown leaps and bounds.

One of the emerging trends in the mobile industry is the java games. These days, such apps are being released with multiplayer options with some going 3D, which is being touted as the benchmark of future games. Mobile gaming has thus become a multi-billion dollar industry. Gone are those days when mobile gaming meant a few fun apps installed in the handset.

Some of the corporate houses use these games for promotional activities. They outsource their custom development projects to offshore development centers that develop promotional games. Game developers add heavy ‘call to action’ factor in these games, which increases the revenue, and brand value of these corporates. One of the key advantages of outsourcing is low cost of development owing to tremendous competition in the market.

Popular Mobile Game Development Tools

UNITY– Unity is an integrated authoring tool for creating 3D video games or other interactive content such as architectural visualizations or real-time 3D animations. It can be used for the iPhone games as well as other platforms such as Google Android.

Maya– A favorite with developers around the world. Originally used for films, television and PC games it has made inroads into the mobile gaming industry as well. This platform is known for generating awesome 3D assets for games.

Blender Game Engine– This is an open-source comprehensive 3D production suite, used for making real-time interactive content. The last thing that shoppers want, especially when they're cramming for last-minute presents during the holiday season, is an excruciating checkout process.

Nothing can be more frustrating than having to fill out a form which they have previously provided with their payment information and shipping addresses. To many people, it's just pointless to waste their time on a repetitive task which a store owner obviously has to find a solution to.

Thanks to Amazon who 1-click patent expired in September this year, Magento has become the first eCommerce platform to offer a similar feature in their checkout process to ease the checkout experience of customers and boost the conversion rates of online sellers like you.

The new Instant Purchase button helps speed up checkout, especially during important shopping events like Black Friday and Christmas as every minute of your customer's shopping activity counts.

It spares repeat customers the trouble of re-entering their payment methods and shipping addresses, a grueling process which discourages many from completing their checkout as it eats up so much time.

A one-click checkout reduces cart abandonment

The average cart abandonment rate back in 2016, according to Magento, was 70 percent or even higher when mobile shoppers are to taken into account. That figure is expected to climb in the years to come as mobile devices are increasingly changing the way people shop online.

Did you know over 50% of online shoppers shop either in the toilet or in the bedroom?

Since they can not possibly use a laptop or a desktop computer in the toilet without getting it soaked, they, of course, use their ever reliable smartphones or tablets to shop. By the time they step out of the bathroom, their orders are already being processed.

However, if they get stuck on the checkout page of your website, then that becomes a massive problem.

Now now, getting stuck does not only mean a page freezes or a button is not working. Asking your customer to put their payment details and shipping address in a checkout form, which they already filled out during a previous purchase, is a form of impediment.

Using and modifying Instant Purchase

Magento's new button not only provides your customers easy of checkout, but also gets them to buy more.

That's the beauty of liberating them from repetitive forms to fill out.

Once a customer clicks on Instant Purchase, it automatically places their order using their previously-stored data and takes them at once to a confirmation page.

Note that the text on the button is totally customisable, so put anything on it that reflects your business.

The Instant Purchase feature, according to Jason Woosley, senior vice president of product and technology at Magento Commerce, is just one of the many tools which their company has created to address the growing needs of people who shop online.

"This milestone is yet another proof point of the combined power of our platform and global ecosystem in providing cutting-edge technologies customers need to react to changing market dynamics," he explained.

Do you already have the Instant Purchase button in your Magento store's checkout area? How has it improved your conversion rate?
