Magento is among the most popular e-commerce platforms of the world. Step 1

Firstly, open the page of your website that contains products and then return to Quick-start wizard. Now make a click on "Create New Products" from the Products menu. You will be given a detailed list of information about how you can manage all the products on Magento. After reading this information, click on Continue.

Step 2

Select the product type. Now you will be asked if you wish to use the Complex Product Types. It will also ask you for an Attribute Set. For now, select default for the Attribute Set.

The option for Complex Product Types lets you list group products, gift cards, configurable products and bundled products. For now, we will only make an addition of a simple product, so let this option remain de-selected.

Now make a click on Continue.

Step 3

Now you will be asked to fill in all the product details. Such details include the name of product, product's description, delivery details, SKU and weight. Fill in all these details.

For the description of product, turn on and use a WYSIWYG Editor (What You See Is What You Get). Turning on this editor will enable the word processing options like paragraph formatting, italic and bold text. Alternatively, you can also write directly in the description box with html text.

Options for special products include Visibility and Status. Visibility allows the user to specify whether any specific product can be seen in catalog, search bar or in both. Status allows the user to select whether or not the specific product is enabled in the store.

When you are done, make a click on Save and then Continue Edit.

Step 4

Add images and prices. To add images for products, click Images from menu in the left side. Select Browse Files in order to add a desired picture from your computer.

After selecting the image, click Upload File.

Now you can select thumbnail, base image and small image for the uploaded image.

Click Save and then Continue Edit.

For adding price to the product, click Prices from the menu on left hand side. Complete all the required fields and then click Save.

Step 5

Now add Meta Information. Click Meta Information from the menu given on left hand side. Select the description and title for search engines.
